What is Live In Home Care? Is it the same as 24 hour Home Care?
Live in home care is when a caregiver or home health aide lives with the patients that need care. They provide around-the-clock support and take care of the patient's needs including mobility, nutrition, and other tasks to help the loved one life comfortably at home.
The difference between live-in and 24 hour care is that live-in home caregivers spend 12-16 hours a day caring for the patient, and are required to have breaks to sleep, rest, and eat so they can be at full capacity to give the best care. With 24 hour care, caregivers rotate 8 hr shifts to make sure youre loved one gets attentive care 24 hours a day.
